| PiRATE PRiMiTiVE Swashbuckler! Neckpiece #N17 "SANGRA SAVAGE" A story is told that after a fierce, hours-long sea battle, a gang of brawny pirates were sacking their prize, a Spanish treasure galleon, when one of the cutthroats came upon a hidden cupboard in the captain's cabin. Inside the cupboard the raider found only two things: a battered old wizard's hat and a neckpiece colored the varied deep reds of sangria--blood! The raider took the hat and neckpiece from their hiding place. When he put the musty old hat on his head he clearly heard a strange voice inside (not gloating "Gryffindor for you!"--That's a different tale). This voice said, over and over, "With the hat of knowledge upon thy head, thou shalt know thine enemy's heart. With the jewels of blood about thy neck though shalt drink thine enemy's strength." The pirate examined the neckpiece. It had an oddly printed paper tag saying "Pirate Primitive - N17" (which soon crumbled away from salt water and age) and was fashioned from wood and glass beads in several shades of reds and red-brown. It was strung on a cord that he did not know but later found out was from the land of Nyle. Adjustable down from a maximum circumferance of 34" it sported a 6" drop ending in a 1 1/2" Monkey's Fist. This last, at least he knew well as they were tied by the sailors on his ship. But this was not (knot?) one of theirs. How the raider used the two magical objects to build his empire is stuff of legend and far too long a tale to tell. The hat, one night, blew away on the sea breeze, but the neckpiece still exists and you may own it. Whether it works without the hat is for you to find out but for that you will need to acquire N17.
