Neckpiece #N170
"CAPTAIN KANE'S DELICACY"

OK, so the name doesn't make much sense, yet, but most of them don't either.  Naming the pieces is fun but sometimes as much of a challenge as, say, writing these blurbs.

So, without any more nonsense, here goes.  There once was a rover who sailed the Caribbean and, if he were a 20th century pirate,  he would probably have had a love of jelly beans. But we don't think jelly beans were invented, so our pirate was enchanted by hard, swirl candy.  Perhaps he was known as Kandy Kane (or was that a dancing girl?).  So Captain Kane, as we shall call him, had his glass makers blow candy striped (stripped?) beads to adorn his neckpieces.  One carnivale night a fetching young lady snatched his beads and had her way with them.  Her way was to trade them to us for a pound of feathers and a pound of lead.  (OK, enough.)

Captain Kane's Special is about 28" around (it may be adjusted by retying the knot at the top) and boasts a drop of 2 1/2 inches.  The swirls are handmade glass and the marshmallows are white wood.  It is strung, with some sinnet braiding,  with hand-dyed cotton cord.

#N170 is only $28.00.  Hurry now and buy it before Mac does a chorus of "Good Ship Lollipop!"
