| "THE JOLLY MONKEYS" When Mac realized she'd be working on neckpiece #N200, her first thought was to attempt to out-do #N100 (see PP home page). So, she started with the balls, of course, and ended up with 11 (number N100 had only a meager 10)! Next, what to do with 11 monkey fist balls? Rolling the 11 balls 'round and 'round in her palms, she surveyed the beads on hand and, without doubt, the most exciting were some red glass specials with millefiore insets. From there, the piece almost tied itself. Perhaps "The Jolly Monkeys" is not as flashy as #N100, now gracing the neck of Marooned's Lenora, but it has it's own spunky style. So, in the end, there's no way for #N200 to "out-do" #N100--they really can't be compared. Strung on both tarred cord and hand- dyed nylon, this draping pectoral measures your choice of 21" 'round (as shown) or 25" 'round if you choose to unknot the top part. As they say, some like 'em high and others like 'em low! The small beads that match the colors in the millefiore insets are called pony beads (we're not sure why, but they do work wonderfully when slid on the fringe of a western coat). The closure is a silvertone circle and bar. Mac is proud of this one and, when you make it yours, you will be, too! Ask for # N200. It's just $59.00, shipping included, and we'll even send along a free belt dangle to match! |
