| PiRATE PRiMiTiVE CALYPSO CARNIVALE COLLECTION Pirate Pectoral Neckpiece # N200 |
| "THE JOLLY MONKEYS" When Mac realized she'd be working on neckpiece #200, her first thought was to try and out-do #100 (see PP home page). So she started with the balls, of course. And ended up with eleven (number 100 had 10). Now what? She surveyed the beads on hand and without doubt the most interesting were red glass specials with millflore insets. The rest was easy. Perhaps "The Jolly Monkey's" is not as flashy as the one now gracing the neck of Marooned's Leonora, but it has it's own spunky style. So in the end, they really can't be compared. Strung with both tarred cord and hand dyed nylon, this draping pectoral measures your choice of 21" (as shown) or 25" round if you choose to unknot the part at the top. Some like 'em high and others low! The small beads that match the colors in the inlaid ones are called pony beads (we're not sure why, but they do work wonderfully slid on the fringe of a western coat). The closure is silvertone circle and bar. Mac is proud of this one and you will be too when you make it yours. Ask for # N200. It's $55.00 and we'll give you free shipping and your choice of a PPPuss cat enchanter or a belt dangle (to match if we have any of those fancy red beads left). |
