PiRATE PRiMiTiVE

"BLOOD LUST"   $42.00

Far be it from us to encourage lust--at least of the bloody kind.  But, then again, we are of the piratical bent and, well, isn't that sort of what we do?  We fly the black but we also fly the red.  Since it is a bit awkward to go about with a blood red flag streaming from one's personal mast, we solve the problem by displaying our favorite colour about our lustful necks.  (Especially upside down over a Wal-Mart T-shirt, but that's another matter altogether.)  If you've come this far, you want to know what you will have to give for this pretty and just what you might be getting.

Firstly, 'tis red.  Very red.  The beads are red, the cord is red and the big monkey's fist got in because it swore it's heart beat red.  But it really all started when Mac was pillaging a bead bizarre (not misspelled;  it was) and came across some long sought after
red "pony beads."*As she had only paper to trade, she departed with what she could manage and at once set about dying cotton cord to match.  One of her favorite bead traders, a fellow named Paul, had set her up with exotic inlaid red glass beauties and with that she combined some gaily decorated wooden beads.  Ten tired knotting fingers later "Blood Lust" was born.

At it's longest (you can adjust it) it measures 28" around with a whopping 5 1/2" drop!  It is suitable for pirates of all genders and inclinations.  It could have been yours--or someone who makes you feel really red (in the best way)--for a but a few reales. But, as you have probably read above, this bloody neckpiece is on the lamb!  So if you like this one, check out

INDEX

*Early mountain men, sailors and settlers brought glass trade beads to the Natives of the Americas.  Wisely, perhaps, the indigenous people with their love of beauty and nature saw that  wonderful, colorful  beads were worth more than mere land, which they knew didn't belong to any one person or tribe anyway.  So they took these beads and decorated their clothing and ponies and knew they had made the best of deals.
