| PiRATE PRiMiTiVE DAVY JONES' JEWELS Neckpiece #N253 "UNDERWORLDLY DEEP" Modern technology has revealed that all kinds of creatures large and small lurk far deeper beneath the waves than ever was imagined. They emit a flourescence, an unworldly glow, to light the sunless water. We suspect that our old friend Davy and his crew would make use of this to aid their already sharp senses in making their way. The collection of "Davy Jones' Jewels" is labor-intensive but truly fun to make. There is something rather wonderful about doing one's best on a project and then "distressing" it to look worn and ancient. These movie and theatre techniques, however, often make the difference between a costume looking real or just whipped up from cheap materials. This piece is, for Mac, a creation to be proud of. Three fists hang from distressed and gilded wooden beads (we call the technique "Mac Mangled"). There are metal beads from India, tinted clear glass rounds and other glowing beauties. The center loop drop is 5 1/2" and the main piece is 28" to fit over the head so that it can't swim away. There is sinnet braid at the back. One can safely say that this piece is entirely hand made by artisans around the world. It is part of this premium collection and is a grand catch on your line for only $45.
