A Skeleton band from the now
destroyed Catacombs at
Les Innocents, Paris.
They trashed the art to put in a road!
Some things never change!
The
Skeleton Crew Pirate Band adopted it as a logo.
Much like the more famous
"Vanity" this is an optical illusion
from the Victorian period.
Under construction.
More to be added.  Suggestions and submissions welcome!

We don't know the artist of this boney display, but found it on a web search.   When we contacted the photographer to get permission to use the picture he told us it was from the old Treasure Island Casino in Las Vegas.  Wonder what happened to it, and the other goodies there!  Where have all the pirates gone?

This marvelous bit of sand art has shown up on several MySpace sites.  Again, we don't know its history but find it creative and quite remarkable.  Anyone knowing about it, please give us the information!
