MalloryandMcCall.com AT LAST!

Welcome to the in-progress, always under-construction web site for
Mallory & McCall (he's Mallory, she's Janna McCall).

We present
Pirate, Irish, Civil War and Victoriana, Gay '90s, Dickens (plus Queen Victoria!), The Wild West, with Baritone Bill and Calamity and other musical fun for all sorts of events from Holiday Celebrations, to Tall Ship Festivals, from Renaissance and Pirate Faires to Private Parties, Concerts, the Holiday Season and much more. We were featured musically sacking and looting on the red carpet for the World Premiere of the "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" (until the crowd spotted Johnny Depp).

As we are still attempting to fathom the mysteries of adding MP3s to the program we are using, we have chosen to introduce ourselves mostly through pictures.  We hope that our very visual site will help you to know us a bit better. If you really want to hear some MP3s, you can go to the bottom of the page and click on the three MySpace sites we have set up and hear some tunes and some obnoxious ads, some of which yell at you during the songs! Let us know your area of interest and perhaps we can email music to you (not all of the various shows have been recorded, but we can let you hear how we sound!)  Or, better yet, purchase our
Sampler CD with six complete songs!

We've performed together as eclectic entertainers, and husband and wife, since 1973.  Mallory sings solo and lead vocals (often of a character nature) while Jan sasses and sings and backs both of us on a vintage suitcase pump organ, piano and other keyboards. She's been known to include more unusual instruments from  Irish harp to ukulele, accordion, bass drum and other assorted musical implements. Often we are joined by talented musicians Dennis "Patch" Patterson and Dennis "Cannonball" Gilmore (Cannonball is featured on our new albums as well).

As the long-awaited web site is actually happening, the longer awaited CD is well on the way to being a reality, thanks to Dennis Gilmore who is producing and engineering it.  Watch for it later this year. If you can't wait that long,
M&Mc's ROUGH DRAFT SAMPLER CD containing SIX FULL-LENGTH SONGS (nearly a half hour, which was the length of many old LPs) is NOW AVAILABLE, showcasing complete songs from both the new album and the all-Pirate album, "Kings of the Sea," to follow.  These are "Rough Drafts," that is, not the final versions, but you're sure to enjoy some of our unusual material and get a hint of what we are planning. A true collecter's item as very few are being made.  "The Derelect: Fifteen Men on the Dead Man's Chest," is there to help do our part to celebrate "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest." So get yours now! Send $10 to Mallory Geller, PO Box 191084, Los Angeles, CA 90019 for a peek at what we have to come.  (We'll pay the postage.)  And while you're at it, order the companion book now on SALE!  See below. The Sampler CDs may also be found at the booth of the good folks of Moonstruck. (They have recently been declared Royal Purveyors to Queen Victoria, R.I.) If you can't wait for all that, go to the CD Page and pay with PayPal!  But there's more!

As we were "suggesting," right now you can own the book of the some name as the upcoming full CD: And Then We Wrote...and Re-Wrote... As with the CD, all the songs in the book have either been written or adapted by, well, us. It features performance and show songs designed for the Musical Entertainer.  There are also commentary, histories and plots from the Janus Company Radio Theatre's Radio Musicals, plus songs for discerning pirates, werewolves, red-hot mummies and others of that sort. You will also find poetry by Mallory and over forty years of images. Far more than just a songbook, you'll find out more about us than you ever thought possible. Or, perhaps desired! (You can skip that part.) And non-musical folks will enjoy the off-beat style as well.  (An EMPEROR MUNG Publication)

This new, outrageously vanity 100+ page book is on sale for $15.00 (a $19.95 value), plus $2.50 shipping and may be ordered by sending a check to (once again) Mallory Geller, PO Box 191084, Los Angeles, CA 90019.  If you want to save almost five dollars, and be the first in your home, on your street, in your city, in your county, in your state to have a copy, you'll have to hurry as even we don't know when the sale is going off!  This is like no book you have ever seen.  Give it a try, even if you are not a musical entertainer or a pirate!

Want both?  Here's a
BIGGER SALE! Buy the ROUGH DRAFT CD Sampler and the book and get them both with FREE SHIPPING! That's only $25. For Both!  Hurry.  Pirates aren't good at giving discounts.

NEW:  We now take
PayPal, so you can buy right from the site.  Look for the BUY NOW logo on both the Sampler CD page and the book page.  They're waitin'!

Skeleton Crew band member Dennis "Cannonball" Gilmore has released two great Irish CDs.  Now you can read about them here and even place your order from this site.  Click on the crossed shamrocks for Dennis' page.  Also check the "Links" pages for information about how to own CDs by other talented artists.

You can also
look for our two earlier books from Mel Bay Publications in music stores and on the web: Exploring the Folk Harp and Mallory and McCall's Irish Pub Songbook.

Or, why not come and see us perform at the  Renaissance Festivals and Pirate Fests in Escondido and Ojai, CA. We'll be joined by Black Patch Patterson, a real treat for ya landlubbers. Our special Saturday guest is often Dennis "Cannonball" Glimore!  (Go to the
Gold Coast Festivals website for more information. Connect up also in the PIRATE and the LINKS sections.)

Now, you should know that this started as a fill-in-the-slots web page and was basically "site"-unseen by us.  Be kind.  This was the first page we "created," or is it "launched?" to use the beginners program jargon.  Finally we've learned to make some modifcations and we now know enough to add something or get rid of something else. The original starter page said it had flying bats and skulls.  Fun? No! Delete 'em! We're learning.

Now we've managed pages with CLICK buttons to help you get around. Some say we've gone CLICK mad, but we're having fun.  And if not for the links, we'd be lost ourselves since we have added so many fun and useful attractions on pages that well could disappear if no one visits them.  We're making what seems to us grand progress (Oh really?  As Janna typed that last the page collapsed into itself.  Perhaps it wants its bats back!). At any rate, we know what we--and hopefully--you want to see and hear, but don't yet know how to do it all!  Meanwhile, we've included lots of places to click on--and most of them work!  Have fun and email us what you think.

Check in at this web address every week or so to see what we have accomplished. Our next real goal is to include (if we can figure out how--see the first attempt below) pirate and other kinds of music.  More printable sheet music and lyrics have arrived, including
"This is My Night to Howl!" from Werewolf! The Musical, a day or so before we entered this.  So CLICK it out.

Another
M&Mc web innovation! We've invited our favorite pair of Goonies - that's Albatrosses - to guide you back to the M&Mc HOME PAGE. They're usually found at the end of a page, although they've been known to fly around a bit. You merely have to click on them and you'll be Home. There you can click on other pages to see and read about those PIRATES, plus DICKENS, CIVIL WAR, CALAMITY & BARITONE BILL,   QUEEN VICTORIA and more.  And there's that printable sheet music and  lyrics, too. And some nifty art and  poetry.   And, NEW, after first writing this, we've added the  VISUAL ARTS INDEX to help you, and us, find the goodies. Clever things computers are! And what fun to go crazy CLICKing everything!  No one should ever get lost.  We're getting there! We will not be daunted!

Visit again soon and see how we are managing! And email us with any suggestions as to what you'd like to see, or what websites we should link to or might want to link to us.  If you are a visual artist, poet, musician or ??? and want to present your work as part of our site,  with your contact information, get in touch.

Cheers!
