gentleman-showman is a stark contrast to Calam's raucous personality (even at her age, she chases after the men, although it's Bill she really wants!). Dressed in worn prairie garb and outrageouly long whangs (that thar's leather fringes to you tenderfeet), she looks as though she might have slept under a cow. Calam and Bill act both as greeters, circulating among the guests, and as musical performers, featuring their own ballad "Aces and Eights--Wild Bill's Epitaph" (it's in the new book and uncoming CD, "And Then We Wrote...and Re-Wrote..." as well as the currently available Six Song Rough Draft Sampler CD. Another shameless plug! E-mail us!, or visit the CD, Books, etc page. See below).
Looking for a theme for an event? The Wild and Wooly West is fun, lively and so easy for those fellers and gals who would come dressed the part. We feature real Old West songs (not modern country and western), along with some classic cowboy songs from the thirties and forties. Our guns may be replicas, but we sure know how to shoot the bull! Other musical cowhands can come in and wrangle with us.
In case you haven't guessed it already, Mallory & McCall are not rockers, nor do we play for dancing. But if you want musical entertainment that is saucy, nostalgic, lively and fun, we're the duo for you!
